Kenneth Roosa Obituary

On the evening of Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called Kenneth Wayne Roosa home to heaven.
He was born and raised in Western Central Illinois and moved to Western Pennsylvania, where he spent most of his adult life after college. Throughout his life he loved to travel, bicycling, hiking, mountain climbing, kayaking, playing and listening to music and going to concerts.
Above all, he loved the Lord and his family; this included engaging in great conversation with friends he cherished and church family wherever he went to fellowship with them. Many community members helped accommodate his hearing loss in church functions and he was extremely grateful for their care.
"Ken" was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth (Browning) Roosa; daughter, Rebecca Anne Linskey; and nephew, Wayne Eugene Clayton.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Roosa and Emily Joy Roosa, that both reside in Texas; three sisters, Carol (Roosa) Runyon in Illinois, Sharon (Roosa) Allen in Texas, and Marlene Roosa in Virginia. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
ROOSA - A celebration of life service for Kenneth Wayne Roosa, who died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, will be conducted at 2 p.m. May 16, 2026, at Highland Presbyterian Church, in Slippery Rock.
Cremation was entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.

As I´m unable to attend Ken´s memorial, I send my condolences to the family. We were casual friends and lost connection some time ago. He was a helping hand to me at my home which I appreciated. The Lord knew his heart and his commitment. He is blessed to call heaven his home. Peace and joy to His servant.

Although I didn't know Ken well, he was a kind person willing to help those especially at church functions. Peace be to his memory.
