Martha McBride Obituary

Martha Smail McBride
Martha Lucille Smail McDaniel McBride, 88, of Vista Royal Assisted Living Center at Chicora Medical Center died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 28, 1917, in Brackenridge, she was the daughter of Lawrence Abraham and Savilla Bell Woodside Smail.
Mrs. McBride was a homemaker and had worked at the Butler Memorial Hospital Hostess Shop for two years. She also worked for Drs. Carl Danielson and Carl Dudeck for 51/2 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James C. (Doris) Rooks and Mrs. Glen D. (Donna) Gold, both of Butler and Mrs. Robert W. (Dolly) Rumbaugh of Chicora; three grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren. A sister, Esther McLafferty of Butler; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Raymond McDaniel, who died April 12, 1951; and her second husband, Kenneth R. McBride, who died Sept. 1, 2003. Two sons, William G. and David Lee McDaniel; a sister; and two brothers also preceded her in death.
McBRIDE - Friends of Martha Lucille Smail McDaniel McBride, who died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Pierotti officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
