Joan McRaith Obituary

MCRAITH Joan Marie McRaith, age 79, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Joan was born to Fred and Madeline Kobe on August 21, 1931 in St. Louis, Minnesota. She is a retired teacher from Ray High School as well as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and wife. Joan enjoyed participation in Bridge, miniatures, family and church activities and will always be remembered for her devotion to family.She is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Michael McRaith and sister, Judy Clegg.Joan is survived by her children: Barbara Joan Norton and husband, Robert, Susan McRaith Lucy and husband, David, Michael John McRaith and wife, Glenna, Mary Kopczynski, Julie Kathryne Russell and John Kevin McRaith; her siblings: David Fred Kobe and wife, Pat, John Robert Kobe and wife, Virginia, Deborah M. Kobe; 13 grandchildren: Patrick David Lucy, Katelyn Elizabeth Lucy, Kimberly Marie Norton, Erin Elizabeth Kopczynsky, Michael Robert Norton, Gregory Michael McRaith, Jeffrey Michael Kopczynski, Sarah Anne Russell, Charles Kenneth Russell, Steven Patrick McRaith, Lindsay Marie Norton, Nicole Kathryne Russell and Morgan Samantha Russell.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Seaside Reid Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., that same evening.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.To view Tribute, please visit www.seasidefuneral.com.
