Corpus Christi - Jose "Joe" Flores passed away quietly on January 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65 after a long illness that he faced with all the bravery and dignity one would expect from him during his time with us. Joe was born on August 5, 1955, Falfurrias, Texas to Ramiro and Edna Flores.

Joe graduated from W.B. Ray High school in 1974. He retired from Sherwin Aluminum Plant as well as Corpus Christi Army Depot where he worked as a skilled machinist until his retirement in 2020.

Joe was an active member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6280. He had a passion for barbecuing, working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a diehard fan of the Houston Astros as well as the Texans. He loved spending time with his family and friends. We will never forget his beautiful smile and unconditional love.

Joe goes home to reunite with his parents, his brother, Robert and sister, Edna Flores. Left to cherish his memoires are his devoted wife, Yolanda Flores; son, Bobby Flores; step-daughter, Angela (Leroy) Barbosa; sisters, Lupita (Armando) Medina, Angelita (Ron) Paniagua and Linda (Gordon) Livingston; his grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Christina (Josh) Brown, Robert Flores and Lydia Flores (Keaton Ramos); step-grandchildren, Aislynn Lozano, James, Addison and Gabriella Barbosa; his adorable great-grandsons whom he loved dearly, Ashton Brown and Everett Ramos; he also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Falfurrias Cemetery. A livestream of the Rosary will be available.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Bobby Flores, Robert Flores, Noe Lozano, Mark Lozano, Armando Jude Medina, Javier Medina, Josh Brown and James Barbosa.
