Rosalee Davis Obituary
DAVIS Rosalee Thelma Ramsey Davis 'Baby' was born on July 8, 1913 in Edna, Texas to the late Julia and Edward Ramsey. She attended public schools in the Jackson County area. She was baptized at an early age. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas as a young woman and united with the St. John B.C under the leadership of Rev. John W. Williams where she served faithfully in the children's ministry for over 35 years. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Women's Mission she loved her church Family and served faithfully at St. John until her health began to fail.During her life time she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grand and great-great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved caring for her family. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she loved her children. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Edwin Ollie 'Buster' Davis. To this union four children were born: Julie Beth; Beverly Ann; Gladys Gallagher and Ramsey Davis.She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin O. Davis, Sister: Lucile Stewart; Brother Henry Hensley Ramsey; son, Eddie Davis.She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Fern Carter; Julie (Albert) Levingston; Beverly Davis; Gladys Toussant; Ramsey Davis all of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Kevin (Dana) Thompson, Kraig (Katrina) Thompson of Houston, Texas; Rosalee (Mark) Ellison; Kareem Levingston; Taj Toussant ' all of Austin, Texas; Chavis (Abby) Toussant of Corpus Christi, Texas; Richard Granger of Waxahachie, Texas; Anthony (Olivia) Carter Houston, Texas; Fernesta (AJ) Martin, Corpus Christi. Great-great grandchildren: Arshaelon Davis of Houston, Texas; Julie Levingston of Austin, Texas; DeVin Davis; DeNeil Davis; Sequra Levingston; DaCain Levingston; Kareem Levingston all of Corpus Christi; Markalon Ellison of Austin, Texas; LaDariant Toussant-Jacksonville, Florida; Miesha Thompson, Morgan Thompson, Kraig Thompson II; Tai Thompson and Myles Thompson of Houston, Texas; Brooklyn Martin; Cameron Martin of Corpus Christi; great great-great : Kaden Keys of Houston, Texas and Kareena Levingston of Austin. One special niece, Seneca Lucile Stewart of Corpus Christi; special cousins, Ethel Mae Marshall and Clifton James of Corpus Christi. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends and others of those who lives she may have touched she loved her St. John Baptist Church family, pastor and deacons. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. John Baptist Church, 5445 Greenwood Drive, at 11:00 am Rev. Derrick Reaves, Pastor.Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
