Dawn Harper Obituary
52, went into the Arms of Angels on January 9, 2020. She was born on October 4, 1967. Dawn was employed with Diebold for many years. She was always very creative, had much love in her heart, and quick to smile.
She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth D. Harper; infant sister Debbie Harper; and step-father David Dennis. Dawn is survived by her father Ronald (Elaine) Harper; mother Ruth Dennis; siblings Robert (Penny) Harper, Kayleen Karr, and Ryan (Sasha) Lytus; nephews Shaun (Nicole) Harper, and Josh Harper; friend Mike Oakley; and many many beloved friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home (CANTON CHAPEL) where services will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. Dawn, your name has been a staple in our family for many years. The enthusiasm and joy you emitted from your very being, trickled down thru Lisa and touched my life. Dawn Michelle was a beautiful person from the inside out. She exemplified what many people should seek to be in this world. She helped me through one of my hardest times in my life and her friendship was invaluable. I am going to miss her so very much. She shares a birthday with my little girls and that has special meaning. She will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.

I remember her winning a candy picking up contest when we were little. I also remember how I would read her a story every night. We loved our backs tickled and we would take turn ticking each others backs, saying our prayers and going to bed. We always forgot to turn off the closet light, (on purpose) then we would argue who was going to get out of bed to turn it off. We both won, it stayed on all night. I also remember my happy trip home and we were going to my brothers and Pennys. We had stopped to grab a burger at McDonalds and some fries. I choked on a French frie Dawnnie whipped off that highway so fast got me out of the car and did the Himelick. Not sure how to spell it. We were both laughing way too much to be eating anything. I could go on and on. She was my little sister and I will always love her. Until I see you again Dawnie in Heaven. I am sending my heart with you and I am always here for you!

I remember when we were little and I was in school but Dawn was still too little for school. I saved my allowiance and bought a chalk board and some chalk. I also bought a red pen and some stars. I would teach Dawn everything I learned everyday. We played school and we had so much fun. I would even give her test's and grade her papers. When we were really young, we both loved our backs tickled. We would take turns tickling each other back, then said our prayers together and went to sleep.

I offer my sympathy with great humility. I can not imagine anything I can say could ease the pain of her loving parents and siblings. A pain so much greater than mine, which I can scarcely endure. Such a loss is more pointed, when it is someone who loved so, and was so loved. I pray almighty God wraps his arms around his daughter and her sweet injured heart to welcome her home forever.
