Enos Kurtz Obituary
age 85, of Hartville, met Jesus on Wednesday morning May 3, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10, 1931 in Middlefield, Ohio to the late Henry and Clara (Byler) Kurtz. He was hardworking and best known for founding Kurtz Rubbish Co. A favorite place to be when not at home was behind the wheel. He was a member of Evermore Community Church. He was known for his generosity and giving spirit.
Survived by his wife of 64 years, Nettie (Shetler) they married on Dec. 24, 1952; children, Elaine (Richard) Doll, Kenny Kurtz, Malinda (Dana) Evans, Larry (Vicki) Kurtz, Lisa (Dean) Rowland, Adrian Allenbaugh, Jolene (Joe) Popik, Cindy (Mike) Hall; grandchildren, Abraham Kurtz, Alice (Clay) Mize, Benji Doll, Lori (Joe) Friesen, Josiah (Shannon) Doll, Stephanie and Nicholas Doll, Trevor Rhoad, Tessia (Keith Hall) and Enos Kurtz, Jessie and Nathan Evans, Shannon (Rick) Miller, Caleb (Megan) Kurtz, Hannah (Mike) Harvey, Jonah Rowland, Layla Popik, Ariana, Javen, Ella, Mason and Ember Hall; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Mize, Max and Liam Doll, Ruth Friesen, Avery Rhoad, Bryce and Landon Hall, Gideon and Judah Miller, Levi and Emma Kurtz; and numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by son, Donnie; granddaughter, Teena Kurtz; and 12 siblings.
Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m. at Evermore Community Church and one hour prior to services 10-11 a.m. Saturday. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday 11 a.m. in the church. Final resting place is the church cemetery.

Mr. Kurtz was the best neighbor anyone could possibly have. Enos and Nettie were always there for anyone needing help in any way. I always enjoyed sitting with them and talking about all of our younger days and current events. Enos will be sadly missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Enos death and I wish I could be there for the funeral although I only met him once I could tell he was a loving Godly man, You will be in my mind and heart tomorrow as you lay him to rest. We, as Christians can rest assured that we will see him again in heaven.

I love the Kurtz family so much ! It has been such a blessing to me and an honor to have them in my life ! I will miss Enos and his crazy sense of humor but I know that as a believer we will see each other one day because of the hope and promise we have in Jesus!! Enos you will forever be in my heart ! And if there are spoons in heaven please take the one they give you !!! Fun memories

My condolences to the Amazing Enos C. Kurtz family . It is with delight that I Have followed and connected with some of you in the last few months via social media.
Hence the distances and passage of time between our Kurtz families has lessened and permits me to share in your grief at the passing of my last Kurtz uncle.
I will remember the brief but meaningful conversation Enos and I shared at Aunt Sarah's 100th birthday party. we reflected on his and Nettie's wedding date, Dec 24 1952 and the fact that Treva and I were wed 13 years later on the same date, But I forgot to sent them an invitation - even though he had ask me as a 6 year-old to be a standup boy in his wedding ! He smiled and forgave me !
A tribute to a fine gentleman with a humble spirit !
He will be missed by many.
