Dan Batchik 75 of Uniontown, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and friends on February 3, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1950, in Akron, Ohio to parents Kenneth and Jean Batchik. Dan graduated from Ellet high school and attended college at The University of Akron where he earned a degree in business.
Dan had a big fun-loving personality who was a friend to all, and he loved to entertain everyone. He had a long and successful career at McNeil NRM in Akron, Ohio. He was a huge football fan who loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved watching TV, especially programs like Price Is Right and Rachel Ray. Dan loved his grandchildren more than anything. He would go to any of their sporting events that he could. He loved his sons and was very proud of everything they did. He also loved his bonus son Tony who made him very proud of all his accomplishments.
Dan was happiest when he was sitting by the ocean and playing Euchre with his family.
Dan was an avid fisherman who always made it a competition to catch the most fish even though he frequently cheated. He was a member of the YK rod club and spent many good times with friends and family fishing at the Salt Fork Lake Cabin, which his parents started as a tradition that lives on through the family.
Dan was a one-of-a-kind man that lived his life to the fullest. He was the best husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend that you could hope for. He was the best husband that Debbie, his wife of 54 years, could have ever asked for. He loved her dearly as they were high school sweethearts. He will be missed by all.
