Erma Raber Obituary
79, of Wilmot, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at Altercare of Navarre following a period of declining health. She was born in Greentown on June 17, 1937 to the late Abe and Elizabeth (Coblentz) Erb and married John V. Raber on Dec. 22, 1956. He survives. She was a member of the Berean Community Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, John Wayne (Janet) Raber and Ed (Esther) Raber; four grandchildren, Jillian, Emily, Rachel, and Samuel; siblings, Cal (Pam) Erb, Martha (Dick) Beachy, Edna (Sam) Mast and Sara Doster; and a sister-in-law, Verla Erb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Schmidt and Betty Erb; and a brother, Aden Erb.
The passion of Erma's life was people; she enjoyed cooking and serving food; giving a hand to the needy, may it be trips to Haiti or filling Samaritian Purse boxes: also serving in her church thru women's, youth, and children ministry. And her grandchildren will always remember the times of stories, baking, and playing games with grandma.
Private graveside services will be held in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1-3 p.m. at the Berean Community Church 1504 US 62, Wilmot. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
