I known him at powerhouse. He was always nice and a gentleman to me. So I was always nice to him and I always showed him respect. He's in a better place now and he was real religious and I believe he was a pastor and so if it's just time to go it's just time to go.

Very sorry to hear this. Always enjoyed seeing and talking with Mark at Powerhouse Gym, where I met him a number of years ago. He had a lot of wisdom and good advice, along with a great sense of humor. After I got to know him better there, Mark realized he had known my father over 50 years ago. Then all three of us had a nice meeting at a restaurant shortly before the pandemic hit. Dad thought it was great to see him again after all those years, and is also very sorry about his passing. Mark was a wonderful man in many ways.

My mother is greatly moved by the death of her pastor. She was seriously injured in a car accident in December of last year and the pastor and his wife were so kind to pray for my mother and to send a beautiful plant as she recovered. I am forever grateful for the love and support they showed my mom and she continues to talk about her love for her pastor and his first lady, Mrs. Betty Smith. We offer our condolences and love as the pastor transitions into his journey to heaven.

Our sincere condolences to Lady Smith (Betty Mack) and family. I met Pastor Mark Smith in 1990 after moving here from Philadelphia, Pa. and while attending the late Bishop Frances Smith's church in Akron, Oh. I informed him I was moving to Massillon, Oh. and if he knew a church I could attend. He told me there was a Minister starting a church there and maybe I could help him; it was Pastor Mark. He was a blessing to me both naturally and spiritually. Two years later Pastor Mark officiated his first wedding ceremony when my wife Pamela and I got married. I am so thankful for the love he showed my wife and I, and we loved him just as much. Prayerfully submitted,
Michael and Pamela Hood.
