Wayne "Sonny" Jacobs, 81, of Massillon passed away on Friday, March 27th at Aultman Compassionate Care. Born in Massillon on September 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Wilhelm) Jacobs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 15 siblings. Sonny was known for his goofy personality, Sonny had a way of making everyone around him smile, whether through a well-timed joke or simply by being his genuine, lighthearted self. He found great happiness in life's simple pleasures. Sonny cherished the time he spent golfing with his brothers, creating memories filled with friendly competition and laughter. He was also an avid Euchre player, always ready for a good game and the camaraderie that came with it. In quieter moments, Sonny enjoyed diving into the imaginative worlds of sci-fi and was a devoted fan of wrestling, never missing a chance to watch his favorite matches. Above all else, Sonny's greatest joy was spending time with the love of his life, Sonja. Their bond was the heart of his world, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments. Survived by his fiance Sonja Ehmer, who hes been with for 25 years; son Michael (Erin) Jacobs; 3 daughters Jennifer (Keith) Creter, Tracey (David) Bailey, Yvette Hyatt; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a very special friend of the family, Lori Ramsey; as well as other loving family members and friends. No services will be held at this time.
