Richard Reynolds Obituary

Richard “Dick” Reynolds 1925 - 2016
91, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2016 at Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.
Memorial services in celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21st at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Humane
Society of Scott County or to the Parkinsons Disease and Related Disorders Assn.
Dick was born in 1925 to Goble and Lillian Reynolds in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Timkem Vocational High School,
Canton, Ohio, in 1943, and earned his BA degree from Mt. Union (Ohio) College. On Jan. 27, 1952 he married Frances M. Weidman in Navarre, Ohio. She preceded him in death May 20, 1998. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy as an aviation machinist mate 2nd class. Dick worked in sales for Acme Cleveland Tools. He was a Mason, and enjoyed playing Black Jack and Bridge, receiving his Silver Life Master Bridge rank in Jan. 2012. He enjoyed the company of cats.
Survivors include his sons Alan (Natirra) Reynolds of San Jacinto, Calif, Keith (Deanna) Reynolds of Lake Charles, La. and
Bruce (Robin) Reynolds of St. Louis, Mo; grandchildren Alex and Emily Reynolds, Shadda (Reggie) Ethridge and Gail (Stephen) Skoropad; and great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Chloe and Grady. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William Reynolds and sister Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Mallard.
