Terry Span Obituary
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, with the Pastor Jerry Schweitzer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to a benefit account at any Chase Bank. Those wishing to send condolences or share a fond memory, may sing the Reed On-Line Guestbook at

R.I.P Terry Span you will be missed!! You were my dads best friend and bandmate. You were the best guitar player i've ever known! My sister and I grew up going to Alister Wild band practices and that is a memory that we will never forget! Forever in our hearts we love you man! R.I.P and rock on!! <3

Ever dearest patty,
It's. Difficult to see the purpose of death in this world. The only way to accept it is by faith. I am praying that you received the faith you need.
God see and knows everything and he is with you right now. He will take care of all his children. Know that your faith is strong and I want to encourage you to hold on to it.
Faith is the evidence of things unseen. Even though we can't see a reason for what has happened,we can have faith that there is a reason in his plan. It is hurting me a lot that I can't be there. God knows I love terry j. Span jr so much! Michael and specially Nicholas miss him too. God bless us all! We love you my guitar hero! We will miss you!

My deepest condolinces go to the Span family. I got to know him in Colorado and he seemed to be a decent person to be around. God has a strong calling for him in heaven. Terry will be with us all even if not physically. The spirit of Terry will be in our hearts. Listen for him often. With great sadness in my heart that things went the way they did. I do believe we all will be able to see him in heaven again. A great and joyious reunion will be the fruits of our patience and understanding of Gods plan.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your son. He has entertained our troups for many years now and through his band's music he helped our men and women, who fight for our freedoms, to forget about their trials and tribulations,even if it's for a little while.

I have very fond memories of my cousin Terry, playing with our guitars as kids. God has truly received a special person and will truly be missed. His music will live on in all of us. My heart goes out to his family.

Terry, Thanks for letting me sing your songs. You gave me the opportunity to see some of the world in the best possible way...going on tour with a band. I will always remember our times together and think of them often. I know you are now at peace and jamming with Randy.

In my late teens and early 20's I played in several bands with Terry. He was very ambitious about his music and we laughed about a lot of silly stuff. We had good times,late night and a trip to Florida. Rest in peace TJ.

I've seen Terry play multiple times throughout the years. He, in my opinion, was and always will be one of the greatest axemen in the history of hard rock and heavy metal. It just goes to show how much the GODS really love you Terry. Rock and roll is eternal and so are her players.
