Thelma I. Fladung
Thelma I. Fladung, age 88, of Louisville, passed away at her home on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008. She was born in Harrisburg, OH, June 13, 1919 to the late Austin and Florence (Frank) Samblanet. She was retired from the former Nees Pharmacy in Louisville. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader and card player and a great cook. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, William G. Fladung in 1967; four sisters, Mary Bahl, Faye Pitts, Anna Mae McCormick and Doris Martelet; six brothers, Bernard, Alfred, Howard, John, Jim and Bill Samblanet. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Gary Evanich of Paris, OH, Ann and David Yoder of Louisville; four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Frosty Fladung of East Canton, Patrick and Christine Fladung of North Canton, Danny and Bonnie Fladung of Amherst, New Hampshire and Thomas and Tina Fladung of Louisville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa McCauley and Marty and Jim Pfabe, all of Louisville, Helen and Chuck McDonald of Canton; 13 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ken Miller and Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville. Interment will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Thelma for a few years in the early 1980s when I was a pharmacy intern at Nees pharmacy.There was something special about Thelma and I've always remembered her. She was a good,nice,sweet person - a kind and gentle spirit. I'm glad I knew her and I'll always remember her.
