Thomas Domotor Obituary
Tommy Domotor WON a heroic battle with cancer on December 19th. Although cancer claimed Tommy's life, the disease only served to magnify his generous, courageous and beautiful spirit. Tommy's compassionate and giving light will always shine brightly in our hearts and minds. An honors student and star athlete at St. Michaels, Tommy began his high school career at Canton Central Catholic this year. He will best be remembered for his gentle and kind way of being with friends, family and everyone he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tibor Z. and Andrea (Szeverenyi) Domotor. Tommy is survived by his brother Tibor, sister Isabella, Aunt Rose, Uncle Peter, and cousins Sophia, Henry, Francesca, Paige and Chloe - all of Canton. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandparents Rosalia and Tamas Szeverenyi, Uncles Sandor and Tamas Szeverenyi, and cousins Ede and Sara Szeverenyi, all of Hungary. The family would like to express its deepest gratitude for the tender and compassionate care that Tommy received at Akron Children's Hospital. The entire staff of the hospital was remarkable - THANK YOU for all of your graceful, patient, and life-giving efforts. Tommy's family would also like to extend an immense THANK YOU to the St Michaels, River Tree Church and Central Catholic community of families and staff members. Your love and support throughout Tommy's illness were invaluable.
A memorial service honoring Tommy's remarkable life and undying spirit will be held at St Michaels on Tuesday, December 29th at 11 :00 AM. The family will receive visitors at St. Michaels starting one hour before the memorial service begins. “When you die, that doesn't mean you lost to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and the manner in which you live.” (Stuart Scott). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tommy's name may be made to Akron Children's Hospital, Oncology/Hematology (1 Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308).

Never met Tommy but feel like I lost a family member. My son goes to Central Catholic, and our common Hungarian heritage makes him seem even more like family. May God grant you eternal rest, Tommy.

SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS
I DIDNT KNOW THE YOUNG MAN BUT MY GRANDAUGHTERS DID A BAKESALE TO RAISE MONEY FOR HIS MEDICAL EXPENCES AT LEVINS. I JUST LEARNED ABOUT HIS PASSING.
HE IS IN HEVEN WITH HIS LORD AND PARENTS NOW.

So sorry for your loss. Tommy was an amazing kid! I can't tell you how often we prayed for him during staff gatherings at RiverTree. We will continue to pray for you all over the next year. Please continue to let us know if we can serve your family in any way.

This wonderful young man is in heaven with his parents. I know he was loved by all that knew him. I have breakfast at a place here in Massillon, and a young man who works there was having a hard time at work because of Tommy's passing. I learned this from my waitress. I realized just how small the world really is. Plus Larry had notified me too.
I know you will all get through this cause that's the only path we have. My thoughts and best will be with you in this difficult time.
