I met Tom in the center of Perry High's football field in 1978 immediately after our annual scrimmage with the Panthers.....he attempted to steel me away from Central Catholic and obviously, I felt he was special. When he called on me and my father to build his new home, I must say, I was truly honored and grateful for the opportunity but mostly for the short friendship that ensued. We never spoke after completion of the house beyond the occasional "bump into", which always required a hug. Tom always came up in conversations of the past and could only be described as......a Prince. My condolences to the family. You've lost a special man.

It was my good fortune to meet Tom shortly after my arrival in Canton in 1966, I served as a Team physician to Perry for years and especially enjoyed my interactions with Tom and watching his interactions with the football team.He was always an excellent role model for his students.
He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.
