A. Christine Canham

Anne Christine ("Chris") Canham (née Santry), 64, of Annapolis, MD passed away on September 2, 2015 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Mandrin Inpatient Care Center. She was born in Bethesda, MD on May 22, 1951, daughter of Jere and Frances Santry. Raised in Timonium, MD, she graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park in 1972 and married her husband of 41 years in October 1973. Chris was a teacher and administrator with Montgomery County Public Schools, primarily at Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, MD. Since her retirement, she was active with the Annapolis Dragon Boat Club, METAvivor, The Wellness Community of Greater Washington, DC, and Hospice Caring, Inc. Most happy digging in her beautiful gardens and spending time with family and friends, she is survived by her husband Bruce Canham of Annapolis; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Carrie Canham of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Sarah Canham of Vancouver, BC; son and daughter-in-law, John Patrick and Kelly Canham of Spotsylvania, VA; three grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers. A memorial gathering will be held at the Historic London Town and Gardens, 839 Londontown Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037 on Tuesday, September 8th from 4:30-7:30pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 9th from 10:30-11:30am at St. John Neumann, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401.
