Larry Johnson Obituary

Larry R. Johnson Sr., 69, a 50-year resident of Glen Burnie, died of natural causes June 8 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Pageston, W.Va. He was a truck driver for J.R. Trucking for 10 years and Clyde Charter Bus Service for 15 years. He served in the Army as a PVT E2.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW, and he enjoyed NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Wanda L. Johnson; one son, Daniel G. Walker; and one sister, Brenda White.

He is survived by four sons, Donald Walker of Linthicum, Charles Lee Walker of Pasadena, Randy Johnson of Sudlersville and John Walker of Millersville; one daughter, Sally Stone of Glen Burnie; two brothers, Ray Arnold Johnson of Lansdowne and Tom Johnson of Pasadena; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, SW, Glen Burnie, where funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday.
