Nancy Jones Obituary



Nancy Ann Jones, 71, of Severn, passed away at Howard County General Hospital on February 14 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. Nancy was born in Indiana on August 25, 1946. She was retired from the Anne Arundel County Public School System where she worked as an administrator. Nancy really enjoyed kayaking and photography, especially photographing nature. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Nancy is survived by her husband Robert L. Jones; sons Todd Jones of Baltimore and McDonnell Douglas Jones of Glen Burnie; daughter Jennifer Elam of Ellicott City; sister Mary Lynn Seifert of Terre Haute, IN and 5 grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Sunday February 18 from 4-6pm as well as Monday February 19 from 11am-12pm at the Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 851 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills, MD 21054. A Funeral Service will begin after visitation on Monday at 12pm. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, located at 1050 Connecticut Ave. NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036 or by visiting their website at www.pancan.org.
