Barry Shorb Obituary

Barry Lee Shorb, 58, of Westminster, died Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born February 5, 1964 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Richard L. "Dick" Shorb and Virginia "Ginny" Shorb of Westminster. Barry worked as a truck driver for Charles Bopst Trucking, Robert W. Seal Trucking and Stephan and Son. He was a 1982 graduate of Westminster High School. He enjoyed dirt track racing with his brother, working on cars, collecting guns and Hot-wheels and Mustangs and tractors. Besides his mother, he is survived by brother Harold Miller (Shirley); sister Teresa Wilhelm; brother Mark Shorb (Donna), all of Westminster; nephews Kyle Wilhelm and fiancé Pam Click and Kory Shorb (Jessica), a niece Katelyn Shorb, great-niece and nephew Ivy and Waylon Wilhelm. Also survived by friends Chuck and Larie Taylor and dog Chloe. He was predeceased by brother-in-law Larry Wilhelm, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bixler's Church Cemetery.
