Cathy A. Riddle

Cathy Allen Riddle, 50, of New Windsor, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House after an extended illness. Born Aug. 29, 1960, in Cheverly, she was the daughter of the late Elwood P. and Magnolia Tanner Thurston. She was the wife of Philip A. Riddle, her husband of 30 years. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Westminster. She enjoyed fishing, making crafts and decorating. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children Susan M. Riddle and Benjamin R. Riddle, both of New Windsor; sisters Rosemary Phelps, of Taneytown and Deborah Stitely, of Union Bridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Charles Allen. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Church, 1641 Old Westminster Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Joe Ready, church pastor, officiating.
