Craig Parker Obituary
Craig Hugh Parker, 56, of Westminster, died Saturday, January 3, 2014 at his home. Born March 19, 1958 in Ukiah, CA, he was the son of the late Alma Ripley Parker and Curtis Doran Parker. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann Peluso Parker. He retired in 1996 from the U.S. Navy after serving 20 years as a CPO Fire Control Technician. While in the Navy, he served on the USS Snook (592), USS Tennessee (SSBN 734) and the USS Maine (SSBN 741). He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. He graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed gardening, building, the outdoors, nature, reading, fishing, bird watching, the Beatles, classic rock and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Christina M. Parker Langdon and husband Michael C. Langdon of Manchester, son and daughter-in-law Nicholas D. Parker and wife Samantha K. Parker of Clayton, NC, brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Nancy Parker of Ukiah, CA, brother-in-law Tom Foster of Ukiah, CA, grandchildren Tyler J., Olivia M. and Gracyn A. Langdon, Jolene N., Annabel V. and Jacob A. Parker, and an aunt Evelyn Ripley Fields of Parkville, MD. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Linda Foster. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment with military honors will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Tribute Giving Center, 8400 Silver Crossing, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
