Iva Gott Gardner, 99, of Westminster, formerly of Sykesville died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Golden living Center in Westminster. Born August 23, 1915 in Prince Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Virgie Bowen Gott. She was the wife of the late Donald Gardner who died October 22, 1983. She had worked in the accounting department for 24 years at the A & P Tea Company. She left A & P to take care of her young daughter and mother who lived to be over 100 years. She also worked part time for Malco Plastics for 14 years. She loved to go bowling and had won numerous trophies for her bowling prowess. She also enjoyed crocheting, making latched hooked rugs and roller skating. She is survived by daughter Michele Hunt and fiancé Brian Wolf and grandchildren Tracey Cavey and husband Chris, Kelly Brown and fiancé Brendan Lawson, Drew, Callie and Mallory Brown. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Vernon Gott and sister Ella Gott Childs. Prayer services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg with Deacon Paul Cook, officiating. Internment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM and one hour prior to time of service at the funeral home Wednesday.
