He was a wonderful husband and father, an excellent gardener and orchardist and had a life-long passion for fishing with his children, especially Frank. John valued sharing evening meals together with his family and very much enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren. John is survived by three sisters and a brother: Ellen Roberts of Cockeysville, MD; George Harry Bevard of Detour, MD; Martha Streaker and husband, Davis, of Sykesville, MD; and Bonnie Zumbrun and husband, Bill, of Hampstead, MD. John is also survived by four adult children: Elizabeth Grigoleit & husband, Kurt, of Red Wing, MN; Franklin S. Bevard & wife, Laura, of Westminster, MD; John W.
