You were a huge part of my childhood, pappy! My best memories are of us all going to the zoo together or meeting up at Bougher's Orchard where you worked and would give us a ride on the tractor. The girls are going to miss talking on the phone with you and drawing you pictures which you hung up in your apartment. You will be missed by so many, always doing for others. If we have learned anything from you, it is to always smile for life is too short. Life is unpredictable but one thing I do know is that you wouldn't want anybody to be sad. I will miss you & I love you , Pap!!!!! Love your grandaughter, Sarah

I've worked on Westminster Main street for 5 years and had known Mr. Robert from the beginning. A delightful man. He once told me he loved seeing my smiling face and was always so kind to me. I always tried my best to return his great kindness. I hope we went peacefully, and I will miss his smiling face!

Mr. Robert looked for everyone. He always found a way to show a kind gesture- whether it´s brining a Mother´s Day flower pot, shoveling out snow for a neighbor, or bringing carts back from the parking lot. He kept a watchful eye on others and made sure neighborhood kids stayed safe. He always said it was his job to help others- a job given to him by God. Now he´s with God and watching over everyone from heaven.

I've been coming to Westminster to visit my daughter and her family for years and have had a front row seat to Mr. Robert's kindness and generosity. He seemed a part of the family and was always there: fixing a gate, shoveling a driveway, advising the kiddos, crafting a dropcord from an old vacuum cord, offering himself as a help however he could. During one visit, he noticed me working out in the yard barefoot. "Grandma," he said, "That's not good... it's not good at all!" He told me I only had one pair of feet and needed to take care of them. Then, the next day, he showed up with a lovely pair of new pink flip-flops for me to use in the yard. He truly was one in a million and I really enjoyed our meetings of the mind. He was a true blessing and will be missed.

Mr. Robert,
I did not know you for very long but you left an indelible impression on me. You always had a good word and smile for anyone who crossed paths with you. A good example for us all. Westminster will miss you presence for sure!

Mr. Robert was such a ray of light! Whenever I saw him around town he was willing to stop, have a conversation, and share about the Lord! He had worked on my grandparents´ farm back in Montgomery County and knew many people from my childhood. I was guaranteed a trip down memory lane when we conversed! I never knew him to complain, but I know he had a long, difficult path in this life. He walked it with dignity and was tethered to God. Mr. Robert, we will miss you! Enjoy the banquet that awaited you! The Coffeys

Have you ever felt like something was off? Like life was suddenly unfamiliar and heavy? I'm in that place right now. Our hearts are hurting from the shocking, sudden loss of our beloved friend, Mr. Robert. It feels like my family and I have been blessed by his friendship forever- I just saw him a few weeks ago; If only I had known that the big bear hug he gave me would be the last... I would have held on a little longer. Thank you, Mr. Robert, for the gentle reminder to love out loud, be present, grateful, and humble. You will be sorely missed, but with us in our memories. We love you, Mr. Robert!
Love,

Sending prayers to Mr. Robert's family and friends on his passing. Mr. Robert always had a smile for me under that mustache and beard! I loved listening to his stories and he never had a bad thing to say. He could always brighten my day while out doing my rounds, no matter what the weather was.
You will be missed Mr. Robert, by myself and many others. RIP Sir.

Robert, thanks for all the many jobs you did to beautify our neighborhood. Always willing to dig out the bamboo or do weeding in the yards too. You loved to come visit on our front porch and we loved seeing you. We will miss seeing you walking the roads. We know the gardens in heaven will be kept in beautiful shape by you. We will always remember you. Dottie and Everett

Westminster is a poorer place without you, Mr. Robert.... You looked out for me after I lost my dad and blessed so many people with your wisdom and love. There was nobody you wouldn't take the time for... nobody you wouldn't listen to or help... nobody who was beneath your notice. You shone the love of Jesus to people and we are better for knowing and loving you.... I miss you and will for a long, long time.

I will miss you so much. You were a blessed brother. Fly high in heaven. You can gather with our brothers and mom and dad. I know you will be looking over all of us left here on earth.
Tell we me again.
