While growing up in Bethlehem, PA I was a HUGE Philly fan. Tony played first base and was usually the first to bat. So fervent a fan was I, I sent the team 50 pieces of bubble gum. I never heard back from the team but like to think Tony got his! RIP

I met Tony in 1971 in Boston. My dad had a store in the hotel where visiting teams stayed when they played the Red Sox. I used to get autographs and shortly after the Tigers got Tony, they came into town. I saw him in the lobby...had his '69 card so I recognized him and when i asked him if he could sign it, he says to me in a friendly voice "Hello Hello Hello" and shook my hand, then signed my ''69 card for me with a big smile on his face.
Some thinsg you never forget. His booming "Hello Hello Hello" and his smile, Baseball lacks men like tony and back then, the game was better for having him as a representative of sorts.
RIP Tony

Tony Taylor lived in my neighbourhood growing up. He would sometimes be in church at BVM on Sunday morning. He would stop into our classroom sometimes to say hi. He was a legend in the neighbourhood, in Philadelphia and in baseball. RIP Tony and thank you.

Taylor made double plays, head first slides into 2nd and 3rd base, a prayer before each at bat, these are some of the things I remember about Tony Taylor. When I was a teenager I spent a lot of time a Connie Mack stadium, before, during and after the games. Mr. Taylor lived in my neighborhood and on many occasion he would give me a ride home. Nothing in my childhood was more thrilling then to be seen with the Phillies second baseman. I was hospitalized after a traffic accident during those days. Tony Taylor and Pancho Herrera came to visit me at the hospital. They was a very special day in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. May the good and joy he left last forever. Rest in Peace amigo.

I have many great memories of Tony, but the one that stands out is the catch of a line drive he made against the Mets on Father's Day 1964 in Jim Bunnings' perfect game. He was a hustler and great baserunner and gentleman. Always had time to sign an autograph, and I still have a ball that he signed. A treasure for a Phillies fan. May he rest in peace and may his family know that he was loved by an entire city.
July 17, 2020
Exciting player, great teammate, and one of the game's pioneers. Post-playing days, Mr. Taylor passed along his wisdom and love for the game to subsequent generations. An admirable career, and life. Safe at home, Tony.

Tony thank for help me doing a celebration of hispanic heritage month with the Social Security Administration. May you rest in peace, Thank how you represented Cuba in the Major League. Thank for your stories that you share with me about Latinos players in the major league. I be honest this is sad day for Cuba baseball, I'm sad I don't have enough to express my pain, but I know that in heaven you will be making a field of dreams to latinos players. God bless you may you rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Tony Taylor. As a player, I was very fortunate to have Tony Taylor, TT , as a manager in the minor leagues for a couple of years. What a awesome guy who always had the time to throw extra batting practice and the countless hours of hitting ground balls to help improve your game. Coach TT, you will be truly missed and I thank you for all the dedication you put into the game you loved so much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Family. Rest in peace coach.
