Jeremy Wayne Rice, 22, originally from Schuyler, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017.
Our Valentine's baby, beloved son, our mischievous one with the cunning grin that no one could ever forget. The one with a big heart and who would always give the best bear hugs. He loved the Redskins, fishing, music and fast cars.
Jeremy lived his life to the fullest every day, there was never a dull moment with him. He could light up a room with his infectious laugh and one of a kind personality.
He loved his family unconditionally and is survived by his son, Bentley; mother, Annette Blackburn; father, Ryland Rice; stepmother, Tara; brothers, Wilson Snyder (Danielle), Parker Snyder (Kelsy); sister, Olivia Snyder (Scott); grandmothers, Martha "Mrs. Rice" Tillman, and Jean Blackburn; grandfather, Kenneth Blackburn; grandparents, Danny and Mary Campbell; aunts, Florence Tillman (James), Shirley Drumheller (Danny), Charlotte Rice, Regina Blackburn and devoted aunt, Denise Blackburn; uncles, William Rice (Tammy), Ricky Rice, Kenny Rice, Roger Blackburn, Kenny Blackburn, Kevin Blackburn and Rhett Campbell; nieces and nephews, Joel, Braiden, Temperance, Azalea, Davis, Ashton, Rylan and Stormie; two cousins, Kimberly and DonDon, who were like his brother and sister; along with numerous beloved cousins, extended family and friends.
It is a great loss we have all experienced with the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend and father. The world will be a little less bright without him here with us. We may not understand now, but find comfort in the memories we have with Jeremy and he will forever remain in our hearts.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Tillman Family Cemetery, 1151 Rockfish Crossing, Schuyler, VA 22969.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston.
