I had the honor of working with Norm after joining HRB in 1982. He was the most intelligent person I've ever known, with a broad range of interests. We spent many hours over the next 11 years conversing about a myriad of topics. He convinced me to "come out of retirement" to pitch for the State College Merchants men's baseball team he coached. It was a privilege to have Norm in my life as both a mentor and a friend. May God rest his soul and bring solace to his family.

Mr. Perks was my teener league baseball coach way back in the early 1980's. He was such a generous man and shared so much enthusiasm for the game and his players. I remember his home made pitching machine he used on us during batting practice.

After reading of his extensive accomplishments, I truly wish I had known or at least taken the time to know him better. I would have called him Dr. Perks had I known. Truly a life well lived!

I played baseball for Mr. Perks in the early 70s, when girls didn't play. He was such a nice man. I have never forgotten those memories. I am sorry to read of his passing. May God give you strength. I am thinking of the Family.
