Russell Nilson Obituary

Russell E. Nilson April 28, 1939 - November 10, 2009 Russell E. Nilson, 70, of Zion, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at The Hearthside in State College. Born April 28, 1939, in Walker Township, he was a son of the late Arthur E. Nilson and Lottie E. Cribbs Nilson. He was of the Protestant faith. He attended school in Walker Township. He was a farmer. Russell is survived by five sisters, Mary E. Crust, of Monument, Ruth E. Johnson, of Pleasant Gap, Helen E. Steiger, of Spring Mills, Virginia C. Anthony, of Wingate and Juanita J. Haines, of Zion; two brothers, David E. Nilson, of McKeesport and Donald E. Nilson, of Danville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers. There will be a public visitation Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Reverend Michael Covalt officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Township.

I'll always remember Russie and all of his animals. They all loved him - I am sure they knew how much he loved and enjoyed their company. And, butter in his morning cuppa coffee. God's speed, Russie, - I am sure that Meb, Harry, Junior, Paul, Merle, Mom, Grandma and Pap were waiting there to greet you. .
