Barbara Campbell Obituary
April 10, 1940 - May 13, 2023
Albemarle, North Carolina - Barbara Jane Pangle Campbell, 83, of Albemarle, NC, and formerly of Charlotte, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Spring Arbor of Albemarle. Barbara spent 31 years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for Mecklenburg County DSS.
Barbara is survived by her special grandson, Tyler (wife Elizabeth) Haney; a great grandson Austin Drane Haney; and a son-in-law, George Simpson. She is further survived by three nephews, many cousins and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Susan Harkey Simpson; her parents; a brother, Bill Pangle; her first husband and father of Susan, Bob Harkey; a special sister-in-law, Jean Harkey; and her beloved husband, Guy.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm at Mulberry Presbyterian Church, 5600 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28208. Services will be held at the church at 1 pm on Friday, May 19. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Barbara was a wonderful gregarious lady respected and loved by all who knew her. My mother, Betty Hirst, thought the world of Barbara. Both of them were lifelong members of MulberryPresbyterian Church. Barbara made sure my mom had a hot cup of coffee every Sunday morning during Sunday School.
Barbara was a perfect example of Christian discipleship. I am privileged to have known her. May she rest in peace!

So sorry to hear about Ms Campbell - she was one of a kind! My Mom loved her very much as did I. My Mom's been gone for almost 5 yrs. She was in same Sunday School class (and CHurch) for many many years and square danced together for many many years. Ms. Campbell was always so good to my Mom :) She got her coffee every Sunday morning at Sunday School. Susan and I grew up at the Church together. So many good memories at Mulberry. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have know Barbara for over 30 years thru square dancing. she was truly a delightful person.....loving and kind to everyone....so special. She will be missed.
