Eugene F. Meyer
EMERALD ISLE -- Mr. Meyer, 63, of Emerald Isle died Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Carteret General Hospital. Mr. Meyer was the owner of 'The Book Shelf' Bookstore in Swansboro and a retiree of Food Lion Grocery Stores.
Services have already been held at St. Mildred Catholic Church, Swansboro.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Meyer; sons, Eugene C. Meyer of Holly Springs, NC, Thomas K. Meyer of Charlotte, NC, mother, Wilma T. Meyer of Ormond Beach, FL, brothers, James Meyer of Raleigh, NC, Paul Meyer of Missoula, MT, John Meyer of Summerfield, NC, Charles Meyer of Virginia Beach, VA, sister, Grace Allen of Land O'Lakes, FL; 4 Grandchildren.
Mr. Meyer is preceded in death by his son Christopher Meyer and his father Eugene C. Meyer.
In lieu of flowers donations can by made to The American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.

I remeber alot of good times with Mr. Meyer and Barbara, and Tommy. Great times at Panthers games and sunny days at the beach. He will be missed dearly, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Love, Jimmy

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gene. We spent a few Sunday's at Panther games together that I remember as being alot of fun.



I hope you Barbara, Tommy, and Family are doing the best as you can during this tough time. If there is anything I could do please do not hesitate to ask. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
