Frank Hatfield Obituary

Frank Andrew Hatfield MOORESVILLE - Frank Andrew Hatfield, 59, of Mooresville, died suddenly September 4, 2013, in a motorcycle accident. Born August 5, 1954, Frank grew up in Homer, Alaska. After working on the Alaskan Pipeline, he worked for Homer Electric Company as did his father, Fred, and his brother, John. He moved to Washington State in 1984. Shortly after that, he met the love of his life, Sandy. Their son, Bruce, soon came along and completed their family. After moving to North Carolina, Frank began making use of his loving and caring spirit. Working for Life Span, his clients became his second family. His devotion to them was as strong as it always was to his wife, son, his brother, and sisters. His love of adventure led him, and Sandy, to traveling the highways on their motorcycle. Frank left this life to meet again with his mother, Ann; father, Fred; brother, John; and sister, Sharon. He joins his brother-in-law, Tommy, holding his niece Jennifer, along with too many dear friends that went before him. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his boy, Bruce; his sisters, Patty, Nancy, and Cathy; along with nieces and nephews whose presence in their lives will never be forgotten. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 7:00pm, Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Renovatus Church, 1209 Little Rock Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214. Visitation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sandy Hatfield c/o 4415 Town and Country Dr. Charlotte, NC 28226. My only regret with Frank is that I did not reach out to spend more time with him. We connected in a way that is rare for me and that is due mainly to his humorous and intelligent nature. He will be missed.

So deeply saddened by Franks passing. I had looked forward to visiting again with him someday and talking about growing up halfway between Homer and Anchor Point. He was a good, kind person. My heart aches for his family. I know this loss is painful.

My thoughts and prayers go out to The Hatfield Family. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Frank.I do have the pleasure of working with his sister Catherine, and from what I have heard he was a gentle spirited person as she is. I know he will be dearly missed.
