Until I met Dr. Sharp, I hated to go to the dentist but he made me feel very special. Every time he saw me in the office, he would stop to ask me how I was doing and chat about the beach. He was a wonderful man and will truly be missed.

We are going to miss Dr. Sharp so much. His gentleness and smile will be missed. We are sorry we were not here during the services, we were out of town, but our thoughts and prayers remain with the family. Dr. Sharp was such a kind and special man.

Dr. Sharp was my one and only dentist all of my life. I was 5 years old for my first visit. I was never scared of him. He made all fear disappear. I am proud to say he was my dentist for 47 years. He said that our family was one of his first patients when he set up his dental office. I saw him just last month. It is hard to believe that this wonderful man is gone. I will truly miss him.

We will miss Dr.Sharp dearly. He was truly one of a kind. He treated our family as if we were family. He always sincerely questioned how we were and when times were hard would keep us in his prayers (I always felt better just knowing that). My heart aches for Mrs. Sharp, their children and grandchildren he left behind. We are truly blessed to have known such a fine outstanding man, one that left a impression that will last a life time. Rest in peace Dr. Sharp and know, that in this world you made a difference in everyone of us who's hearts you touched. May God be with us all.

This guest book is a remarkable tribute to Dr Sharp. Although I did not know him well after reading about him I see him in his daughter Mary John.
Mary John has her dads grace and compassion, she exhibits his patience and kindness, and she must have learned her unselfishness from him. Their love of Christ is evident in their daily lives. Clearly his legacy will go on!

I've gone to Dr. Sharp for as long as I can remember and he never greeted me without a smile on his face. He would always make the "dreaded" trip to the dentist a pleasant one. The Sharp family and office are in my thoughts and prayers.

August 11, 2012

It's hard to put into words what Dr. Henry meant to my wife and I. In addition to his comforting approach on our every visit, he was a true gentleman. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with family and friends.

My family and I are going to miss Dr. Sharp. I have been going to him for 34 years now. Such a kind, sweet man who always had a kind word and asked about my family. He always remembered what I was doing in life. What a special person he is. I pray for comfort for all family and friends and his staff. May God hold you in his arms and give you what you need.

Henry and I first met in 1956 when we entered Erskine College as freshmen. We lived in the same dorm, same floor. I immediately liked him because of his friendly attitude and everyone at Erskine liked him and knew he was going to be a success. We became good friends and he later became the Kelly family dentist. I always looked forward to my dental visits and we always had stories to tell about the old days at Erskine, our families, and our current happenings. My wife Susan, my children, and I will really miss him. Our sympathy goes to Warrenette and the children and grandchildren and other family members. He was a really good man.

Drummond and Sharp Family,

Dr. Sharp was our dentist and was one of a kind and we cared and respected him very much. I read a Christian book in his office one day and told him how much it meant to me, and of course he ordered me a copy and sent it to me. It was about how smart the eagle is but if he puts down his guard, he too could be trapped. Just as we as Christians should always have our guard against Satan. He lived his testimony in the way that he treated people just as the Bible instructs all of us. He will remain in our hearts.

Dr. Henry Sharp was much more than a dentist to my family and me; he was a precious, beautiful man with a gentle manner and a wonderful skill. I have so many fond memories of Henry. My Mom and Dad went to Henry just after he started practice 46 years ago and I went right behind them. My first experience was removing two wisdome teeth, I never felt a thing. He practiced painless dentistry for which I am eternally grateful. My daughter went to Henry and when my grandchildren were born I was the only one to take them until after they started school. Henry took away my fear of dentistry and kept Carly and Ben from ever cultivating that fear. My bride, Katherine, loved this man who made a point of always treating her like a princess.
Warrenette, Drummond, and the girls must have some of the most unbelievable memories. Henry was the best dentist anyone could ever hope for and Warrenette was such a beautiful assistant, with the kids playing in the floor, I just sort of feel as if we grew up together.
The smiles in heaven will be a little brighter. I love you Henry! Thank you for all you gave my family!

My heart broke and I broke down and wept when I heard the news. Your husband, father, and grandfather was easily one of the most kind, dear, gentle, genuine people I have ever known. I surely didn't like to have to go see him at the office, but he (and his incredible staff) had a way of making it okay - treating me like a queen - giving me the most special treatment. What I do realize, is that he treated all of his patients this way.

I will mourn the loss of my dear friend. May you, his family, find peace in this difficult time through the grace and love of God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
