I just learned of Mr. Owens passing today, January 4, 2018. My condolences to the family. Mr. Owens was our piano tuner at Zion Baptist Church in Gastonia for more than 25 years. He always came with a smile, great stories, humor and filled with the Lord. He loved his wife Teresa very much. He spoke fondly of her each time he visited and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a happy "grandpa" each time a new grandchild was born. I looked forward to his visits. He was like clockwork arriving each 6 months without fail. I missed his visit in December, never expecting he had passed. Even though he had been battling the cancer, he always laughed and smiled when he came. Mr. Owens had a great and positive attitude about his treatments. We will miss him.

Jeff was a kind, generous, gracious and talented soul. He was my piano tuner and also the tuner and tehnician for my workplace, Davidson College. He always made me smile, and radiated a good heart. I will sorely miss him. I wish his family comfort in their loss, and send my prayers.

Jeffrey Scott Owens was my brother from a different mother as the saying goes, we grew up together, played together, shared pain and heart ache together, many many stories, deep history good and bad, we survived childhood, school, cars, hobbies, Vietnam war, marriages, children of our own, Jeff and I always maintained our friendship and love for each other, part of that history was my being married to his twin sister for 21 glorious years, when the 21 years ended, Jeff and I maintained our friendship and trust without wavier, thats the kind of man Jeffrey Scott Owens was and he will always be remember in that manner, he was without a doubt a great man, he will be greatly missed, R.I.P. my Brother Jeffrey Scott Owens !!

Jeff was our faithful piano tuner at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. Through the many times he came, I enjoyed his fellowship so much. He had been on my daily prayer list for some time.
He will be missed. We send to you our sincere concern and sympathy. May the Lord give the added grace and comfort during these next days.
