I rememeber both Mr and Mrs Berrang with much fondness and good humor. I knew her when I was a teenager back in the late 60's and she was a lovely woman and caring mother. My heartfelt sympathy to Pat, Mike, Laurie and your families.

I'm Father Steve Katsouros, SJ, a graduate of Saint Andrews Elementary School in Silver Spring and a classmate of Laurie Berrang's. My mother, Suzette Katsouros, was a close friend of Kitty Berrang's, and when I was young, I always called her Aunt Kitty. To Laurie and your brothers, I will celebrate Mass for your mother and for you. Aunt Kitty was really one of the great ones! On behalf of my mother, who lives at Leisure World, be assured of our prayers and condolences.

Miss Kitty and Mr. Berrang were great friends and neighbors to the Crilley family. They always made a big impact at our family gatherings, fine examples of "The Greatest Generation".

My condolences go to the family for your loss. I have found comfort in dealing with this painful situation from the words at 1 Cor. 15:54-57. I invite you to read this passage and hopefully it will encourage.

Kiki was truly one of a kind, and she will be sorely missed by us, her friends and the many persons whose lives she touched. Kiki, I'm certainly in no hurry to get there, but I look forward to many more cocktail hours with you. Love, your son-in-law.
