Alex and Joseph, I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is the last thing she would have wanted! She loved you both so much. My fondest memory of Lori was when she dropped Alex off to hang out with Meredith and spied their new minibikes they got for Christmas. I could tell she was dying to ride one, so I asked her if she would like to ride with me. She very casually said yes, why not?, but she was on it and speeding away before I could get on mine! My daughter Meredith, who was a great friend of Alex, said she was gone for at least 25 minutes! I couldn't even find her she was so fast. And so funny... later when we moved and sold them, they bought one! She was so adventurous, but mostly so loving and supportive of her beloved children Ales and Joseph!

I also worked with Lori, she was the ray of sunshine at the post office. Our sons went to school together and became friends. Lori's children were the source of her happiness. She loved them so much and was so proud of them. Alex and Joseph, your mother lives through you. God bless all who mourn Lori.

I meet Lori when I moved to Charlotte in 1988. We worked at the Carmel office. Lori was a special woman. She had a positive attitude about life, work and the people she worked with. People were happier around her. I am glad I was fortunate to have known her and worked with her again at the Ballantyne Annex the last few years. I am shocked by her death. I miss her.She will always be in our hearts and memories. I pray family and friends will feel the Lord's comforter with them as they work through their grief and the loss of Lori. He will give you comfort, support, strength and his love always.

Lori has come and gone, shedding light on the cave of our existence... leaving traces of magic. A true pleasure to work with her and the highest honor to call her my friend. Rest easy, Lovely Lady. You are my champion.

Lori was a one of a kind person...and memorable for each of her special traits. My heart goes out to her entire family. God must have a special job waiting for her in heaven to call her so early.
