Marcia Gough Obituary

Marcia Angelia Lewis Gough SUMMERVILLE - Marcia Angelia Lewis Gough died Sunday, June 30th,2013 at her home in Summerville, South Carolina. Marci was born November 2, 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the child of Barbara Morris and Roy Reginald Lewis. She was preceded in death by her beloved father in 1969. Marci spent most of her childhood in Charlotte until moving to New Jersey in 1973. She was a graduate of Madison High School in New Jersey and the University of Phoenix. Her marriage in 1979 to William Lithgow Gough of New Jersey produced two daughters, Shannon and Laura. A devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother, she delighted in her family and friends. She took pleasure in numerous activities such as singing, playing the guitar and horseback riding. Later in life she learned to sky dive. But, she loved nothing better than staying in touch with those she loved. Marci is survived by her mother and step-father, Barbara and Lane Cloaninger, of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters, Shannon Michelle Allison of Evans, Georgia and Laura Joyce Gough of Ladson, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Kaylen Hunter Allison and Gabriel Paul Allison of Evans, Georgia. Marci is also survived by her extended family, Cathy Perry and husband, Chris, Lane Cloaninger, III and Nina Cloaninger. A private memorial service and committal will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 5th, 2013 at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. The family of Ms. Gough is being served by J.B Tallent Funeral Service.
