Michael Butterworth Obituary

Michael W. Butterworth CHARLOTTE - Mike was born March 19th, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Bob and Betty Butterworth and passed away on December 10th, 2015, at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was a beloved husband, brother, and father; survived by wife Cindy, daughter Kelly, son Michael, daughter-in-law Shirley, and his brothers Bob and John. Mike enjoyed his retirement in the Carolinas where he took up woodworking and alternated between enjoying or being frustrated by the game of golf. Although he lived in the Carolinas, Mike will be remembered as a loyal Philadelphia sports fan despite recent evidence that he had been enjoying the Carolina Panthers' success. The family will hold a memorial service to honor Mike's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mike can be made to Charlotte Rescue Mission: 907 W. 1st Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 or charlotterescuemission.org (click on Donate link).
