Nancy Robinson Obituary
June 24, 1944 - May 5, 2024
Charlotte, North Carolina - Nancy Huntington Robinson passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 5, 2024.
Nancy was a native Charlottean. She graduated from Myers Park High School in 1962. She went on to study accounting at Furman University. From 1986 until it closed in 2008, Nancy was the manager of Myers Park Hardware.
Nancy loved to spend time with family and friends going shopping and out to eat. She loved the beach and mountains and her dogs. She was an avid knitter and got great joy out of giving away whatever she made.
Nancy will be remembered for her bright smile, friendly nature, and generous loving spirit.
She is survived by her daughters Joan Poteat (John) and Anne Alexander (Jeff); grandchildren Alastair and Wren; brother Hugh Huntington; and nieces Kathryn Cole and Christa Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. Interment services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Novant Hospice.

So very sorry about Nancy's passing. I just found out. I knew her as a teen, I shopped a lot at Myers Park hardware and as a Realtor, I had some business dealings with Nancy about 10 years ago. May her memory be eternal and health and prosperity to all of her loved ones she leaves behind.

My deepest Condolences to the family of Mrs. Robinson. As one of her long term caregivers I am sadden to her of her passing. Thank you Joan and Ann for sharing your Sweet Mother with me. I will forever cherish my scarves in her memory. May God bless you all with comfort and peace.

Even though I hardly knew Nancy, I thought she was a lovely lady. I was one of the caregivers for a short time. My sincere condolences to the family.
