Rita Taylor

Rita Vondra Taylor MATTHEWS - Rita Taylor passed away on July 26, 2015, at age 79, after a courageous battle with Acute Leukemia. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey H. Taylor, and her parents Ben and Hilda Vondra. She is survived by three sons Kent (Becky) of Sumter, SC, Todd (Cheri) of Harrisburg, Tim (Lynda) of Cary, one granddaughter, five grandsons and three great-grandsons. She is also survived by three brothers, Kenny, Joe, and Eldon, all from Wisconsin, as well as many nephews and nieces. Rita had retired from Travelers Insurance after twenty years as a worker's compensation claim adjuster. She also worked nine years as a part-time data entry specialist with the Real Estate Book. Rita was known for her love of birds and butterflies, bridge night, televised sports, and traveling to visit family. The family thanks Dr. Alfred Newman III and all the staff at Matthews Hematology Oncology Associates for their care and support. The family also thanks all her friends at Bella Sera, Lansdowne, St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and elsewhere. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, July 30th at 11:00 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with the inurnment to follow in the church columbarium.
