Daniel Lamar Taylor, 55, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was born on September 13, 1970, in Rantoul, Illinois, to Maryann and Daniel Lamar Taylor Senior. He spent his childhood in Colorado Springs and graduated from Falcon High School. He earned his degree in psychology from North Lake Dallas County Community College in Irving, Texas.

Daniel was known for his devotion to the Colorado Avalanche. He worked as a shift supervisor for Skyline Products, making electric signs. Daniel was especially proud of being a father and grandfather to his three grandchildren.

He enjoyed frequenting local bars such as Rino's, Knucklehead, and Jim's neighborhood lounge. He enjoyed collecting sports cards and going to sports games (baseball and hockey). His favorite television series was The Sopranos. He collected movies of every genre. On any given weekend, he would be watching basketball, football, boxing, or hockey.

Daniel is survived by his father Daniel Lamar Taylor Sr., sister Mary Ellen Taylor, John Leroy Taylor, his three children; Brendan Lee Taylor, Daylon Joe Taylor, and Tatainya Zoe Taylor, his grandchildren; Amelia Rose Taylor, Daniel Louis Taylor, and Rosalie Riley Hughes, his nieces and nephews; Christian Marie Payne-King, Samantha Lynn Payne, Jeremy Daniel Smith, Isaiah Antonio Taylor, Andrew Michael Taylor, Keith Anthony Lambert III, LaRon Antonio Donald Jr., and LaLannie Rayshell Donald.

A memorial service will be held on March 28th, 2026, at 3:00 PM at All States Funeral Home. The address is 1020 E. Fillmore St., Colorado Springs, CO. 80907.

Daniel's legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for helping those he loved, cooking on weekends for family, and spending his free time in leisure.
