William Wallace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Springs Funeral Services - Platte on Dec. 17, 2025.
William Nathaniel (Billy) Wallace was born on June 9, 1971, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the parents of Annette Wallace and James Muhammad. He was often referred to as Will or Billy. Billy was a military child.

He spent some of his life at Fort Hood Texas, Fort Still, Oklahoma, Germany, and then to Colorado Springs. Billy attended Horizon Middle School, and from there attended Falcon High School. Billy participated in many sports activists. Billy graduated in 1989. Billy ended junior college in Rifle, Colorado, Northwestern and Adams State, where he majored in communication. Billy then moved to Arizona for a couple years, then he moved back to Colorado. Billy decided to move to Denver, where he coached basketball for many boys.

Billy enjoyed spending time with friends and was easy to get along with. Everyone felt welcomed by him; no one was ever a stranger. He was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed.

Billy would listen and read the Bible verses daily. This became part or our daily routine. Conversations about what he read, especially if it would pertain to an event that occurred that day. Billy worked for the City of Denver, then for the City of Glendale until his passing on December 6, 2025.

Billy is survived by his sisters, Belinda and Stephanie Wallace; his son, William Terrell Tober; nephew, Devin Wallace; grandniece, Amora Lamb; and nephew-in-law, Devin Edwards. Billy will be always loved and missed.

The visitation will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 22, 2025, at The Springs Funeral Services, located at 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.

I'm so sorry to learn Billy has been called home. My greatest prayers and Condolences to all his family and friends. I had the privilege to attend both Middle and High school with him. I'll always remember what a talented athlete he was in both football and basketball, not to mention P.E. I remember one of our coaches at the time, referring to him as "fast, fast, fast." He was practically impossible to defend against on the football field. In fact, one of the few to make the Varsity team as a Sophomore. Always a positive, optimistic, confident, teammate. In general, just a kind person all the way around. We shared a few good laughs as well. I'll never forget the day in middle school gym class that he let me know how hairy my legs were. Lol. In all seriousness, I really want Billy's family to know, what a great impact he had on all his teammates and friends. He will always be greatly missed and never forgotten. God speed William Wallace.
