Roy was simply one of the most fondest people I have met. Since meeting him in 1991, I always looked forward to talking with him. He left a special impression on me and will be missed dearly. God Bless. Lou, you and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Mrs Hinson,
Roy and I were great friends working together in NC ASHRM and the AHA. He was a Gentleman's Gentleman, a great leader, and always driven to be the best. My heart aches as we say goodbye. He will always be remembered. My prayers are for you and your family during this difficult time. May God's love surround you and comfort you in the days to follow.

I am thankful that Roy was a great friend to my dad and our family. He always had a vision of how he could serve and sacrifice for others and make life better for our community. He accomplished so much and yet did it in a very Christlike and humble way. Thank you Roy for the memories we will always carry with us. Lou, we love you and your family and will be praying for you.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Roy. He was such a kind, gentle, and Christian man who lived his faith each day. His legacy will live on in the work he did to bring better medical care to the citizens of this county. I valued his friendship and respect him for his honesty and his devotion to God, and family.

Dear Mrs. Hinson and Family,
Last year I was fortunate to tour the Medical Center with Roy and noted how all employees, patients, and visitors knew him and wanted to speak with him. He was obviously an exceptional individual.
