I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Gene and Lynn from the train store on Charlotte. He was a good man, and he did love his trains.

Mr. Reid was my tennis coach at East. In 1968, we were a talented team and through his example, he made us better. He was a patient coach and, more importantly, a first class man. He wa.s one of the shining lights that lit the path through my adolescence. We are all the richer for having known him

Thank you, God, for the life of Gene Reid. He, along with my sister, created a memorable, welcoming home for all who entered. Gene was jovial, stedfast and committed to his family....so genuine. He was our family treasure and will be greatly missed.

At East Mecklenburg, Mr Reid was my algebra teacher.
About 25 years after graduating, saw Mr Reid at a toy train show. Gotta tell ya, Mr Reid loved toy trains, & I don´t think there ever was a toy train show he didn´t like.
RIP!
