I am shocked and saddened to learn about this today. I too saw Susanne's name listed in the NCSU College of Design publication Designlife, and rushed to look on Facebook to verify if it was true. Susanne and I met our freshman year at NCSU in 1978. She was one of my very best friends in college. Susanne and I were college roommates for several years and we also traveled to Europe together one summer. She was a mentor and a dear friend in those days, and she made it a point to keep in touch after my husband and I moved to Texas. I last corresponded with her when her father passed away and had no idea she was sick. I wish I had known. She will always be one of my life's most precious friends, and I am so grateful to her for her love and friendship. Until we meet again sweet friend.

I was so shocked and sad to see Susanne listed with other deceased alumni in the NCSU College of Design publication Designlife. I enjoyed our friendship for many years at camp T-Bird, as well as life on the NC State campus. She was always a fun and caring person, and I wish I had not lost touch with her. May you feel God´s peace during this difficult time.

Susanne was an awesome camp friend to us. She was game for all pranks and hijinks and she could keep it a secret-never ratting anyone out!
We continued being friends for the next 40 plus years...a great lady! We will remember her smile and warmth always.

I offer my very sincere condolences.
I grew up on Shoreham Drive in Charlotte near the Robisceks. Susanne and I were contemporaries. I haven´t seen her for many years but I vividly recall being at her childhood home from time to time. I recall that her family had a horse or two in their large back yard, which, even in the late 1960s or early 1970s, seemed anomalous and enchanting in our Charlotte suburb. Susanne, so it seems these decades later, was in our early youth routinely pleasant, cheerful and kind, at an immature stage of life when so many of us are not. But she was, which is a testament to her exemplary upbringing and fine character.
