Mark McClure Obituary

Mark Andrew McClure, 61, of Andrews, N.C., passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at his home.
Mark was a retired telephone lineman. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to read and was a talented craftsman and woodworker.
He was the son of the late Bobby McClure.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Lisa Postell McClure of Andrews; a daughter Lindsey McClure-So and husband Dr. Laurence So of Marietta, Ga.; a son, Markus McClure of Andrews; and two sisters, Angela Allen and husband Larry of Murphy, and Laurel McClure and husband Maurizio of Tampa, Fla.
A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 26, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, with Steve Bettis officiating. The family received friends from 5-5:50 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Mark Andrew McClure to the Valley River Humane Society, P.O. Box 658, Murphy, NC 28906, or valleyriverhumanesociety.org.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of all arrangements.
