Adam Lederer Obituary

Adam T.P. Lederer was born at a very young age July 12, 1982, and quickly set about entertaining those around him, first with calculated falls while learning to walk, later with bike tricks and then sharing his clever, poignant commentary on the world around him. Adam called the states of Michigan, Illinois, Vermont and North Carolina home. Along the way, Adam graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago, with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences and continued with master's work. Adam loved the thrilling history of the earth's crust, scenic views (especially ones with mountains), spectacular clouds, and existential conversations over drinks or to the backdrop of great music. Recently Adam became more engaged in politics, both local and federal, and was particularly passionate about reaching out to young, unengaged voters. It is a great tragedy that Adam T.P. Lederer, 34, died June 25, 2017, in Asheville, NC. He leaves behind many loved ones, family and friends, all who will forever feel the vast emptiness left behind by this loss. A memorial service will be held at the North Shore Unitarian Church in Deerfield, IL, on September 17th at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Natural Resource Defense Council in Adam's memory. To send condolences, contact information for Adam's father, William Lederer, or sister, Aleksa Lederer, can be found by emailing [email protected].
