Charles McGregor, 50, of Downers Grove. Beloved husband of Nancy, nee Alberts; loving father of Erin and Colin; brother of Donna, Sue, Maureen, Bob and Ed. Visitation 3 to 9 pm Monday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th Street, Downers Grove. Prayers 9:15 am Tuesday from funeral home to Our Lady of Peace Church in Darien, for Mass at 10 am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Wellness House of Hinsdale. Funeral Info: (630) 964-6500.

Nancy, Erin and Colin, our deepest condolences. Chuck and I knew each other in high school and became friends when were roomates in college. We lost track after college. I wish I knew he was so close by... would have went for a ride. I too remember that great sense of humor. The world is a better place for having him here and we will miss him.

I worked with Chuck at NGPL for a number of years. Chuck was a great inspiration to me and I credit him with my decision to work in the IT field. He was extremely knowledgable and very willing to share his knowledge. He had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing quite a bit. I hadn't seen Chuck in a few years since NGPL dissolved. My deepest sympathy to his family. Find solace in that fact he is at peace and is not in pain.
