Marc and Peter
Please accept my condolences on the death of your mother.
Aunt Frieda was my godmother and Uncle Joe was my brother's godfather. Our parents were Mary (Ciolek) and Hollis McDonald.
I have fond memories of coming to your house for fami!y get togethers. I remember your grandfather taking us to see his pigeon coop and pigeons in the backyard, Rex the boxer dog that scared me, and getting to pick out Cracker Jack toys from a huge bag your dad had. My parents went to Arizona several times to visit your parents. I still have one of the ceramic Christmas trees Uncle Joe made - Mom brought three home for us. I think about your parents every year when it's put out at Christmas.
Aunt Frieda was beautiful and so kind. I know you will miss her very much. She was the last of my Chicago side of the family. Our moms all kept in touch over the years through letters, cards and occasional phone calls, but as dementia set in with Mom and Aunt Blanche the cards and letters grew fewer and we lost the connection with your mom. She had a full and busy life. She leaves you, Marc and Peter and your families, with memories of her and a life well lived.
May God bless you and give you comfort knowing she is in Heaven and together with your dad for eternity.

Marc and Zawicki Family
Please accept the condolences of myself and the Heffernan Family on the death of your Mother. Back in the day our paths crossed as our Father's helped get us jobs in college. I think of him often and Max Factor days. Your Mom and the teacher's at McKay were familiar names growing up. There was their "Mother's Club" gatherings of the Zoo mom's. So many fond memories! My mom died about 2 years ago...May you and Peter and families have peace in the fond rememberences you share together in the days ahead. Peni
