James Yoshizo Yoshimura, age 93, beloved husband of the late Sachie; loving father of Yoshimi (Lawrence) Golden, Leo, William, Joseph (Martha), James (Marylin), Thomas and Mary Yoshimura, Catherine (Gerald) Charles, Robert (Nancy), Daniel (Akemi) and the late John Yoshimura; devoted grandfather of Mariko, Tomo and Kazu Golden, Toby, Charlie, Kelly, Megan, Sarah, Amy, Eric, Jason, Thomas J., Brian, Matthew, Aliza, Sophie, Stephanie, Brandon, Valerie Yoshimura, and Max Charles; great-grandfather of seven; fond brother of Diane (John) Natagani, the late Joseph and Kajuro. Funeral Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the John E. Maloney Co. Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon, to St. Gertrude Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Montrose Cemetery. Visitation Friday, March 27, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Northwestern Memorial Palliative Care & Hospice, 675 N. St. Claire, Suite #720, Chicago, IL 60611 appreciated.
